Military regimes favoring the Islamic Guidance governments have dominated national politics, Sudanese States Other Properties ownership since gaining independence from Britain in 1956. Sudan has been involved in two prolonged civil wars during most of the rest of the 20th century and with other countries and their Forum Properties Syria, according to a historical forum. These conflicts were rooted in northern economic dominance, politically and socially largely non-Muslim and non-Arabs southern Sudan. The first civil war ended in 1972 but broke out again in 1983. The second war and famine-related effects resulted in more than four million people displaced and, according to estimates by the rebels, more than two million deaths over two decades leading to instability to the region that led job losses. Peace talks gained momentum in 2002-04 with the signing of several agreements. The final North / South Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA) signed in January 2005 gave autonomy of the southern rebels for six years, followed by a referendum on the independence of South Sudan. The referendum was held in January 2011 and indicated overwhelming support for independence.

A separate conflict erupted in the western region of Darfur. In 2003, it caused massive migration movement of nearly two million people and caused about 200 000 deaths per 400 000. United Nations took over command of the peacekeeping mission in Darfur from the African Union in December 2007. Armed conflict, poor transport infrastructure, and lack of government support have chronically obstructed humanitarian assistance to affected populations similar to that of Jobs in Syria.
